My hobby ~ Baking

at 9:07 PM
I love baking...coz...

1) very convenient, if i want to eat chocolate cake at 3am in the morning, i can bake immediately.
2) i love to eat cakes which are freshly bake especially the 1st bite of the cake that was just took out from the oven..I tell you, it's extremely tasty!!!!!!! [ahhh....wahhhhhh....]
3) can give someone to eat easily because they are easy to bring compared to dishes. [can wrap it in paper or keep in box as present]
4) if i want more chocolate chips, I'll add as much as I want = customization convenience
5) Last but not least, cakes has no "ajinomoto" compared to junk food & restaurant food...

So, Let me share with you the banana cake recipe...try it now!!

Moist banana cake (with sour cream)

Ingredients
125gm (4oz) butter, softened
1 cup caster sugar
1/4 (quarter) cup brown sugar
3 eggs (room temperature)
2 cups plain flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3/4 (three quarter) cup sour cream
1 cup roughly mashed banana (or 3 bananas)

Method
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees (350F). Place the butter, caster sugar and brown sugar in the bowl of an electric mixer, and beat until light and creamy. Gradually add the eggs and beat well. Sift the flour and baking powder over the mixture. Add the cinnamon, sour cream and banana and stir to combine. Spoon the mixture into a greased 26cm (10in) fluted ring tin. Bake for 40 minutes or until cooked when tested with a skewer. Cool on a wire rack and spread with caramel sauce. Serves 8 to 10.
