Sushi Wednesday~

today made sushi...

erm.. not that successful..coz forgot to pray 1st.. lol

just learnt once 4 yrs ago, taught by zijing. special thanks to her.

Relaxing yet busy Tuesday

bought some banana from Pasar Malam yesterday..

so, after cooking the lunch... I tried a new recipe ..

Banana raisin oatmeal cake~

it looks fine when took out from the oven...

not sure abt the taste yet..

hmm...

wow!!! this recipe was great!!!!!!!

it taste so nice!!!

yum yum...

it is so soft~

pack some for Yuan yuan to bring back to his office for his colleagues as Tea Break..

and also make the chocolate flavor banana muffins for my colleagues..

I'm still thinking what to give for Yuan Yuan as Christmas gift.

Christmas is his favorite.. even the there's a Christmas song specially dedicated for him and Jesus.

"远远在马槽里，无枕也无床，小小的主耶稣睡觉。。。"

if u know this song, u'll know why this song is for Yuan Yuan and Jesus.

I always tease him saying him sleeping in manger , no pillow no bed, and together with Jesus...haha..Just kidding.

Since Christmas is such a special day for both of us, because Jesus was born to this earth to save us. Christmas is a day to celebrate Jesus's birth!

However, he won't be with me this year celebrating Jesus birthday as he's still holiday at Sarawak with his family.

so, I plan to make some cookies for him as present.

this is the new mixing bowl, very convenient as it's big and light enough.

this is another chiffon baking mold that i've bought.

I made a chiffon cake,but failed... aii..

then I continue to bake the butter cookies for Yuan yuan...

1st time making little pig, eyes and noses are raisins.

because recently yuan Yuan wake up late due to holiday,

I invent a new nick name for him..

忙碌的一天

今天是星期五，suppose to be free and easy day and sleep until 10am only wake up one~

but due to cough that I have currently, I got to wake up in the "early middle" of the night, "middle" of night and "later middle" of the night, to throw off the phlegm in my throat.

so, meaning that I couldnt sleep well the whole night.

Not only that, due to NON-stop cough, I woke up at 7am.. then bathed and go office...

Good to wake up early, I managed to do many things during 9am -12pm. Normally, I got up at 10am and after bathed and packing and go for lunch, it was almost 12pm. So, I learnt the lesson today, I need to got up early!! As the Chinese idiom says, " early birds got the worm" but " early worm eaten by bird". Cos I'm like the worm, so i got up late usually. But starting today, I hope i can be like a bird.

today is Wendy's birthday!! She's my officemate, and we celebrated her birthday at Tong Xing Yan Bukit Beruang Bazaar.

12-12:30pm

while waiting for others for the lunch celebration for Wendy, I went to see doctor in the campus. The doctor is a malay woman and she's pregnant. One thing I noticed, she's a left handed. After taking medicine , then Lynn and I went to buy cake.

12:30 -2:15pm

So, we had our lunch at Tong Xin Yan, I order a set meal cost RM5.9 (free a bowl of fish ball soup). Others eat fried mihun, fried mian xian, fried rice, fried curry rice and yam ring pork with rice. All of them drink Luo han guo longan and fruit juice, but I can only drink warm water.. wuu wuu.. T_T

Here's the birthday girl~

This is the food I order, forgot to take the soup picture.

I can see that Wendy very happy today. she's a very kind hearted girl, this year, she'll celebrate her birthday with her 1 yr old son!! I'm so happy for her too!~

2:30 -3:00pm

I dropped them at MITC (Melaka International Trade Centre) for Pikom pc fair while I went Mydin for grocery shopping. I managed to step in the pc fair's entrance but not able to shop as others are waiting for me to go KWSP.

3pm - 3:45pm

We went to KWSP at MITC for EPF nomination. If you haven't do the nomination, faster go KWSP and nominate. This nomination is important because if you pass away, your money will go to something like tabung Amanah and your family may not able to retrieve your EPF money.

So, do you think it's important? Important leh...

4pm -7pm

reached office and do my work.

7-8pm

went dinner with Pei ling.

8-11:30pm

I made chiffon cake but failed~ I made many mother of success ( because Chinese idiom says: failure is the mother of success -_-||)

I also made some butter cookies as christmas present for Yuan Yuan, but too bad he's in Sarawak. Plan to post, but worry the cookies will break. Aii... how ah?

Baking time~

Two days ago, I taught yuan yuan make swiss roll.

he very smart, just one time I taught him, then he can make his own swiss roll.

(my apron fit his body so much hor? hahaha )

got potential to be a baker next time??

wah.. he make the cake more gentle than me.. he mix the egg so gracefully like a very feminine girl...

The recipe is very simple, just the steps are complicated a bit.

here's the batter he made.

and then, I asked him to make some pattern for the swiss roll using chocolate batter..

as he's good in art, I expect he might draw some cartoon characters ..

When I saw this, I laughed and keep on laughing for few minutes..

and he still show his innocent smiling face looking at me with thousand of question marks on his head asking " cannot meh?? nothing wrong eh"

and then we roll it...

then chilled in the fridge.

The taste is really nice!

it's really amazing for a 1st timer who never bake cakes.

next month, banana/apple pie...

p/s: hopping that next year he'll make or invent many other cakes for me. then i can retire fully while he becomes the main cook.

Dinner at Ah xin & Chee doon's house

4 Nov, the day after my birthday we had a dinner gathering at Chee Doon + Ah xin's house.

some were chatting and doing some reading at the living room..

everyone is very hungry and wait for food~

(notice that all are guy!!)

we get ready with the rice and the dishes..

we were soooo hungry that time as it was already 9pm...

(because they need to go pasar malam to buy the veges and chicken, by the time they got home, it was nearly 8pm.)

so we all eat together after prayer..

we have longan konyaku jelly + 7-up

(1st time trying this, it was really nice)

taa daa.. second dessert, my favorite cheese cake!

Chee doon make this and ask me to open ceremony ( because the day before was my birthday)

feel really touched!

(ps: yuan yuan, u should 反省反省..time to learn some bakery.. )

after the dinner, I dont need to pay single cent because I was the birthday girl~
